Governor Northam to Keynote Annual Virginia Rural Caucus Reception and Dinner on February 7
RICHMOND, Va. – Governor Ralph Northam will be the keynote speaker at the Rural Caucus Reception and Dinner on Feb. 7 in Richmond when state, business and civic leaders gather to discuss the future of rural Virginia in 2018.
Co-hosted by the Center for Rural Virginia and the Virginia Association of Counties, the annual event fosters collaboration and discussion regarding issues that impact the vitality and prosperity of rural Virginia.
Other state administration officials as well as members of the General Assembly’s Rural Caucus will be attending, and general registration is also available for interested members of the public. Attendees will gain an understanding of matters affecting rural Virginia and learn about possible solutions.
Last year’s event – the largest Rural Caucus dinner to date – brought together nearly 200 business and government leaders, including 47 county officials from 25 counties across the Commonwealth.
The 2018 Rural Caucus Reception and Dinner will be held Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the Omni Richmond Hotel at 100 South 12th St. in downtown Richmond. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Registration closes on Jan. 31.
