Annual Virginia Rural Caucus Reception Set for February 5
RICHMOND, Va. – The 2020 Rural Caucus Reception will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5 in Richmond.
Co-hosted by the Center for Rural Virginia and the Virginia Association of Counties, this annual event brings together state, business and civic leaders to explore the future of rural Virginia, and encourages collaboration and discussion around issues affecting the vitality and prosperity of communities.
“This Rural Caucus Reception is a timely forum for discussing the latest measures under consideration for boosting economic growth across the state, and especially rural Virginia,” said Kristie Proctor, Executive Director of the Center for Rural Virginia. “Our goal always is to help all attendees gain an understanding of matters affecting rural Virginia and learn about possible solutions.”
The reception-focused format of the event this year will offer attendees opportunities for interaction and discussion of the key themes of the 2020 General Assembly session.
A number of secretariats, other state administration officials and members of the General Assembly’s Rural Caucus will be attending, and general registration is also available for interested members of the public.
Last year, more than 200 business and government leaders and officials from across the state attended the event.
The 2020 Rural Caucus Reception will be held 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at the Omni Richmond Hotel at 100 South 12th St. in downtown Richmond.
